Man, 24, defiles 9-yr-old neighbour’s daughter

A 24-year-old man in Kano has been remanded for allegedly defiling his neighbour’s nine-year-old daughter on several occasions.

The accused person, Aliyu Auwal, allegedly lured the victim to an uncompleted building at Samegu Quarters of Kumbotso LGA of the state metropolis where he had carnal knowledge of her.

Auwal was ordered to be remanded by Justice Mustapha Datti when the case was brought before the magistrate court on Monday.

The court was told that the victim’s father had reported at Panshekara police station that the accused person of the same address deceitfully lured his daughter into an in-completed building located at the above address and raped her severally on different occasions.

The accused, however, denied the allegation when the case was presented by a Chief State Counsel, Asmau Ado Sabi’u after which the judge adjourned the case to April 5.
