Newly introduced confectionery products made by Mamuda Foods Company, a subsidiary of Mamuda Group of Companies, were introduced into Kano market on Monday.

The products, which consist of biscuits, sweets and other confectionery products, were being marketed by Chadco Marketing and Distribution Nigeria Limited.

Chadco director, promotion and marketing department, Mr Hassan Ahmed Gaddar, said the newly introduced confectionery products would bridge the supply gap when compared to the level of demand of confectionery products in the state with emphasis on the advantages of the company’s factory located in Kano State.

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Hamir Investment, one of the major marketers of the new confectionery products, Alhaji Hamisu Rab’iu, described the introduction of the new products into the market as a good gesture done at a very calculative period.

He explained that the presence of the product’s manufacturing company in Kano will ensure a steady supply as well as present a level ground for constructive competition as demand for the products increases.

Another marketer and Managing Director of Baba and Murtala Investments, Alhaji Baba, said the introduction of the products into the Kano market signified a very positive development in the manufacturing sector of the state.
