Thousands of Kano residents on Sunday welcomed the Emir of Kano, Malam Muhammad Sanusi II, who returned to the state from Saudi Arabia where he performed the lesser hajj.
Emir Sanusi, who arrived at Malam Aminu Kano International Airport (MAKIA) Sunday evening was received by his senior council members and thousands of Kano residents.

The emir’s plane landed at MAKIA at 4.25pm.

The crowd accompanied the emir to his palace from the airport.

Among the senior council members that received emir Sanusi at MAKIA include the District Head of Wudil , Alhaji Abdullahi Sarki Ibrahim; the District Head of Doguwa, Alhaji Aliyu Harazimi, Dan Isan Kano and District Head of Warawa, Alhaji Kabiru Tijjani Hashim among others.
