The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission on Thursday re-arraigned a former Attorney-General of the Federation, Mohammed Bello Adoke (SAN) and six others over their alleged role in the Malabu oil deal.

Adoke, who is facing related charges before a Federal High Court in Abuja, failed to appear for his trial on January 11 after his flight from Dubai was blocked due to COVID-19 related issues.

On his return to the country, the EFCC, through its counsel, Bala Sanga, re-arraigned him with the other defendants on an amended 42-count charges earlier filed in January, 2020 before Justice Idris Kutigi.
