The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission on Thursday re-arraigned a former Attorney-General of the Federation, Mohammed Bello Adoke (SAN) and six others over their alleged role in the Malabu oil deal.
Those arraigned along with him before an FCT High Court were a businessman, Aliyu Abubakar; Rasky Gbinigie; Malabu Oil and Gas Limited; Nigeria Agip Exploration Limited; Shell Nigeria Extra Deep Limited and Shell Nigeria Exploration Production Company Limited.

Adoke, who is facing related charges before a Federal High Court in Abuja, failed to appear for his trial on January 11 after his flight from Dubai was blocked due to COVID-19 related issues.
On his return to the country, the EFCC, through its counsel, Bala Sanga, re-arraigned him with the other defendants on an amended 42-count charges earlier filed in January, 2020 before Justice Idris Kutigi.
The defendants pleaded not guilty to the charges.
Justice Kutigi fixed April 14 for hearing.
