Following the recent attacks in major motor parks, the Oyo State governor, Engr. Seyi Makinnde, yesterday proscribed the operations of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) in the state.
Makinde, in a statement he personally signed, said all parks and garages had been taken over by the state government.
The statement which was read by the Chief of Staff, Chief Oyebisi Ilaka, said all activities of the union remained illegal henceforth, and urged people of the state to go about their lawful duties without fear of molestation.
