The embattled National Chairman of Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP), Senator Ali Modu Sheriff has alleged that a former governor of Kaduna State and chairman of the party’s national caretaker committee, Senator Ahmed Makarfi and the secretary of the committee, Senator Ben Obi are working for a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to destabilise the party.
Sheriff, who spoke yesterday when he received a delegation from Plateau State, said the committee visited the APC chieftain twice, since they returned from Port Harcourt after the national convention.
“I want to put it on record that if there is anybody that will be accused of working for the APC it is Makarfi and Senator Ben Obi,” he said.
He assured that the Plateau delegation who complained that they were short-changed in the last PDP congresses in the state, that he would revisit the issue.
Leader of the delegation and former member of the House of Representatives, Bitrus Kaze, said they have been called to declare support to Sheriff, and demanded review of the last ward, local government and state congresses in Plateau State.
