A former Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Obadiah Mailafia, has arrived at the Jos office of the State Security Service (SSS), for questioning.
Mailafia arrived a few minutes after 12:00 noon, accompanied by his wife and legal adviser who is the chairman of the Jos branch of Nigerian Bar Association, Barr. Yakubu Sabo.

“I am here to appear before them.
“The invitation came at the weekend.
“I don’t know the reason, but I am going as a good citizen of this country to honour every authority,” he said.
The second invitation of Mailafia might not be unconnected to an allegation by him that a current northern governor was backing Boko Haram insurgents.
Daily Trust reported that Mailafia was last Wednesday invited by the security outfit following an interview he granted to an Abuja based Radio station.
During the interview, he alleged among other things that a current northern governor was backing Boko Haram insurgents.
Mailafia was in the DSS facility for six hours but was later released unconditionally.
Similarly, the National Broadcasting Corporation fined the radio station, Nigeria Info that conducted the said interview N5 millon for contravening the broadcasting code.
