One area where scarcity still prevails in Nigerian politics is the good representation of leaders and statesmen in the Senate of Nigeria.
Possibly, no any form of government needs great leaders as much as a democracy, for democracy is not self-executing. It takes leadership a lot to bring democracy to life. Great democratic leaders are visionaries, they have instinct for their society’s future, a course to steer and through the capacity for persuasion they win people consents.
Hon. Aliyu Sani Madaki could not have come at a better time than this, as it is a compilation and presentation of a leader of humble origin.
Elected into the lower house of Nigeria’s bicameral National Assembly in 2011 after long but varied public careers.
On assumption of the National Assembly, the Dala Federal Constituency started to record tremendous achievement in the upliftment and the general development of both human and material resources.
Under the Madaki Foundation – scholarships are given to the Students, Men and Women empowerment and other social intervention programs. Madaki built a clinic in order to provide healthcare service to the good people of Dala. Madaki also provided offers to the teeming youth in the Nigerian Customs Service and Nigerian Deposit Insurance Corporation.
The good people of Dala re-elected Madaki in 2015 whose personality is responsible for mobilization of democratic energies and faith that will bring people together and forge ahead a new course.
The red cap revolution (Kwankwasiyya Movement) that heralds Aliyu Sani Madaki’s leadership was designed meticulously to address the yearnings and aspirations of the good people of Kano State. Aliyu Sani Madaki is one of the pioneers and promoters of the Kwankwasiyya movement – under the leadership of an amiable and indefatigable leader Engr. Dr. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso.
The overwhelming mandate given to Madaki has once again established a covenant between him and Dala citizens. The manner and vigor the mandate is being executed by Madakiportends the general transformation of Dala to a greater height.
The visions of Aliyu Sani Madaki that are been translated into tangible programs and the actions have within the short span of the 8th House of Assembly given it peculiar dynamic and focus.
Kano central district consists of 15 Local Government areas of Dala, Nassarawa, Gwale, Kano Municipal, Tarauni, Kumbotso, Fagge, Gezawa, Minjibir, Dawakin-Kudu, Warawa, Kura, Garun-Malam, Madobi and Ungogo. Eight of these Local Government namely Nassarawa, Kano Municipal, Gwale, Dala, Tarauni, Kumbotso, Fagge and Ungogo are the most populated, hence they always provide bulk of votes during election.
Madaki endured himself to the people because through his up bring and style he believed and fought the cause of the generality of his people. He was loved because he radiated optimism for the future and also stood for humanity.
Madaki’s philosophical views on some major issue are constructive and provide some meaningful insight in to his thinking and contention. As a professional accountant, he sees democratic system as a challenging task. This encourages Madaki to become optimistic that with a powerful and stable environment where people act as brothers of one another, we can overcome obstacle and achieve prosperous democracy.
