Mace theft: DPO moves out of National Assembly

Divisional Police Officer in charge of the National Assembly, CSP Abdul Sulu-Gambari has evacuated his personal belongings from his office following his redeployment to Adamawa state.

Impeccable police sources said Sulu-Gambari moved his belonging yesterday, Saturday.

Daily Trust was told that Sulu- Gambari’s redeployment letter was issued to him on Saturday by the force secretary.

A junior police in the National Assembly said: " Oga came yesterday and moved all his belongings in the office. He has been redeployed to Adamawa state. "

Sulu- Gambari who was redeployed to National Assembly last year had told the joint committee of the National Assembly probing the invasion of the Senate that he arrested six  persons.

Recalled that the Police Force Headquarters had denied that suspects were arrested in connection with the invasion of the Senate.

But following Sulu-Gambari’s revelation, the Police Commissioner in charge of IGP monitoring unit, Abu Sani told the probe panel that the suspects were in the custody of the FCT command.
