Lagos University Teaching Hospital, LUTH, has partnered a startup energy company, Taranis Novus, TNL Africa, to boost power supply in the tertiary hospital with the inauguration of a 20-kilowatt solar facility at ‘Ward A’, one of the biggest wards in the hospital.
Chief Medical Director, LUTH, Professor Wasiu Adeyemo, while speaking during the inauguration, stated that the solar facility was to provide an alternative power source and ensure smooth running of the hospital.
He added that the Ministry of Health was making efforts to provide alternative source of energy to many government owned hospitals because the hospitals need to function and provide health care services to Nigerians.

Managing Director, TNL Africa , Femi Numa, who sponsored the project, stated that the 20kw/40kwh (combined) Lithtech/TNL all-in-one solar- based renewable energy solution was more than technology.
