Lumumba, Fraser, Others to speak At GOTNI’s Abuja National Leadership Confab

The Director, Kenyan School of Law, Patrick Lumumba, George Fraser and the CEO of Brian Tracy International, Brian Tracy are among notable personalities slated to speak at the National Leadership Conference, organised by the GOTNI Leadership Centre in Abuja.

Addressing a press conference as part of the activities for the Conference, CEO, GOTNI Leadership Centre,
Dr Linus Okorie said the conference will provide the opportunity for managers and executives in private and public organisations to strengthen their leadership capacities, establish new networks and develop the capacity to maximise the potential of their existing networks.

This is as Okorie also advised President Bola Tinubu to appoint only competent, visionary, passionate and selfless persons into his administration as Ministers and Heads of Agencies for the effective implementation of his development agenda.

He said: “As the selection of leaders begins, one of the most important thing is to ensure that every leader that is going to head a department of government we are setting expectations, first the technical knowledge of that particular mandate. The second thing is visionary leaders. It might be a technical person he may not have vision.

“We must have those who are visionary, we must have those who have hunger for service, passion for service, sense of urgency and those who also know how to work with teams in getting the job done because nobody can do it alone and people who are not interested in materialism. People who are interested in service because it is the passion for materialism that has destroyed our system,” he warned.

Okorie also disclosed that part of the conference will be panel discussions by distinguished panelists who will engage in insightful discussions, exploring emerging leadership concepts and sharing real-world experiences, adding that delegates will have the opportunity to engage, ask questions, and receive tailor made solutions and expert advice.

He explained that there will be networking opportunities and the National Leadership Conference will provide a vibrant platform for delegates to expand their professional networks, fostering connections with like-minded peers, mentors, and potential collaborators from diverse sectors and industries.

The GOTINI CEO also disclosed that the Centre has gotten the approval of the Federal Government to establish a full fledged leadership university which will be first of its kind in West Africa and even the entire continent.

“As I am talking to you, the Federal Government of Nigeria through the Minister of FCT has approved land in the city of Abuja (for us) to set up a Leadership University in the entire African continent to drive leadership research, Master’s in leadership, Doctorate, Diploma in leadership.

“And most interestingly to drive leadership Teaching in the universities in Nigeria so that leadership can become a prominent (course) in the West African region,” he said.
