Four people have lost their lives in a motor accident which occurred yesterday in Lokoja, the Kogi State capital.
Witnesses said the accident around the PHCN Junction at 2pm involved a lorry and a tricycle, and that the lorry which was coming from Abuja axis ran over the tricycle, killing the four occupants on the spot.
It was gathered that the lorry driver tried to escape but was chased and apprehended and his vehicle set ablaze by angry mob.
It took the intervention of policemen who saved the driver from being lynched.
