Longjan denies defecting to APC

Reacting to a recent media report that he had defected to APC, Longjan said in a statement by his campaign organisation that he is still a card carrying member of the PDP.
The statement, signed by the campaign secretary, Musa Garba Musa, described the report as a surprise as there was never a time Longjan announced his defection to the APC.
The statement said: “The Ignatius Longjan Campaign Organisation wishes to categorically refute such insinuations and claims. We wish to categorically state that Ignatius Datong Longjan, the Deputy Governor of Plateau State is still a bona fide card carrying member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). We call on all our teeming supporters to discountenance such misleading insinuations.”
