Long Kwo chieftaincy: Contestants invited for briefing

As the selection of the next Long Kwo of Kwo chiefdom in Qu’an-Pan Local Government Area of Plateau State draws closer, princes who are contesting for the stool have been invited for a briefing on the process.

The contestants were invited by Qu’an-Pan Local Government Council as the selection is expected to hold next week.

One of the contestants, Miskoom Larry Peters Bawa, after the briefing, commended the Plateau State Government for facilitating the processes towards the selection of a new traditional ruler.

He applauded Governor Lalong for the bold initiative to see that all vacant traditional stools in the state are occupied, and appealed to all the princes to bury their differences and allow a peaceful selection and subsequent installation of a new Long.

“We should bury our differences and allow a peaceful selection. We should accept and support whoever emerges as the new Long Kwo,” Bawa advised.

The traditional stool has been vacant for 33 years.
