It was gathered that the lorry driver was over-speeding in an effort to beat the lockdown imposed by the state government to prevent the spread of the coronavirus pandemic in the state.

The residents of the area called the attention of security agents at a police checkpoint near the scene of the accident.

The security agents and health officials later arrived to evacuate the corpse.

The Osun State Police Public Relations Officer, Yemisi Opalola, said she was yet to be briefed on the incident.
