Local content board, FIRS host tax awareness campaign

The Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB) and the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS), are set to begin a tax awareness workshop for operators of the oil and gas industry in the country.

The workshop, which will attract stakeholders in the oil and gas industry, is billed for Today, at the Nigerian Content Tower in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State.

According to a statement from the corporate communications department of the board, the tax awareness workshop is based on provisions of Nigeria’s Finance Act 2021 and other extant tax codes relating to Research and Development (R&D).

They workshop is intended to create awareness about tax incentives available to Nigerian companies that invest in research and development.
