The newly appointed Director of Lobi Stars youth team, Mr. Emmanuel Jekelle, has vowed to do everything humanly possible to justify the confidence reposed in him by the Vice-Chairman and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the club, Mr. Dominic Iorfa.

Only recently, the NPFL side constituted a technical crew that will be in charge of the club’s youth team in the forthcoming NPFL Youth League.

While Jekelle, the proprietor of Emmyjeks Football Academy Makurdi, is to serve as Director, Japheth Agaadi is Head Coach.

Others appointed are Ameh Yusuf and Benjamin Jacobs as assistant coaches while Terfa Abaya is the physical trainer, while a former BCC Lions keeper, Jighjigh Ahungwa will serve as goalkeepers’ trainer.

Reacting to his appointment, Jekelle, told Daily Trust that as a grassroots football developer, he is equipped with the prerequisite knowledge and experience to lead the team.

He said with the support of the CEO who has carefully selected members of the technical crew, the youth team will make Benue State proud in the NPFL Youth League.

“My appointment is a rare opportunity to serve my state. I am going to bring my wealth of experience to bear on this important assignment.

“Benue State is blessed with abundant talents so we are going to raise a formidable team to represent Lobi Stars in the Youth League,” he said.

The NPFL Youth League is scheduled to commence on February 1, 2024 and Lobi Stars U-17 team is grouped along with Kwara United, Niger Tornadoes, and Plateau United, with Lafia as the centre.
