The Club’s captain, Ayo Segun and his teammate, Benson Omodukwu were handed a year suspension for attacking referee Marcus Bwashi during their match against Enyimba in Idadan recently.

The duo who were handed a year suspension each were blamed for inciting their players and attacking match officials in their game against Gombe United that ended 2-2.
Nembe City also had three points deducted from their already accrued points, and the match awarded to Gombe with three goals and three points.
