The recently retired local government workers in Benue state yesterday said that life is becoming unbearable for them following the non-payment of their monthly stipends by the state government.
Representatives of the retired workers drawn from the three senatorial districts who stormed the Government House in Makurdi, urged Governor Samuel Ortom to find immediate solution to their predicament.
Speaking on their behalf, the chairman, Mr Michael Vembeh, stressed that life was becoming extremely difficult for them to fend for themselves and their families, and appealed to the government to include them in the monthly pension.
