Liverpool beat Tottenham to maintain perfect start

Georginio Wijnaldum scored his first away goal in the Premier League to help Liverpool stay top with a 2-1 win at Tottenham Hotspur.

Liverpool began strongly and thought they had taken the lead in the opening minute but Roberto Firmino’s effort was ruled out for offside.

The visitors finally made the breakthrough six minutes before the break when Wijnaldum’s header just crossed the line.
