Many Nigerians, including Billionaire Blogger, Linda Ikeji, have criticised the movie, “Coming 2 America”.
The much-awaited movie hit Nigerian stream sites over the weekend and has since garnered reactions from viewers.
While some Nigerian celebrities dressed up in costumes to celebrate the release of the movie, some expressed their disappointment.
For Ikeji and many others, the storyline and plot left much to be desired when compared to the original movie.
While some Nigerians were content with the appearance of the Nigerian Singer, Davido, in the movie, others believe he should not have been part of the cast.
Here are some reactions;
Coming 2 America..lol. I doubt any big studio was behind it. Looks like something Eddy Murphy raised little money for and called his comedy friends to join. Locations at Rick Ross home &Tyler Perry studio. Weak storyline & plot. A good laugh but nothing close to the classic. 3/10

Some things are better left without a repeat so that the memories of the first time will be untainted.
That's all I'll say about what I just finished watching 😑😑😑

If your curiosity is Davido
Just fast forward to the very last scene,
That’s where he performed.He sang the Chioma Assurance song.
But let me warn you ahead:
Even that “perfomance” was not up to 2minutes.You will have to endure almost 2hours of nonsense before you see Davido.

So #Coming2America is a movie that so badly wants to be a concert. The plot is all over the place and the characters keep acting out of character for no clear reason. It's mostly just pomp and pageantry with the occasion dash of slapstick comedy. Meh.
