At the rate, this artiste’s latest offering is gaining ground on the internet, it may be a repeat of how his popular track, ‘Dabbing’, trended which led to his collaborations with top stars.

The recently released song, ‘Suri’, by Shu’aibu Ahmed Abbas popularly known as Lilin Baba is presently rocking the internet with over 50, 000 hits within the first week of its release.

The love song also got a video that contributed in making popular.

Born in 1992 in Unguwar Gwoza Wakane, Gwoza Local Government Area, Borno State, Lilin Baba rose to stardom with his ‘Arewa’, ‘Wasa’ and ‘Eleke’ songs.

The singer, rapper, songwriter, record executive, actor and entrepreneur recently featured in a Hausa film that first appeared on the social media page of Nigeria’s first lady, Aisha Buhari.

It can be recalled that the song ‘Dabbing’ which Lilin Baba sang alongside Adam A. Zango, gained more than five million views on YouTube and other social media sites.

Lilin Baba ventured into music for the love he has for the songs of artistes like Lil Wayne, P. Square and Sa’adu Bori. He started writing songs in 2010 and moved to Abuja in 2011. He made his first single, ‘Arewa’, in 2016, and after performing the song met Bala Usher and Mr. Cash. This led to a collaboration with the former for ‘Wazobiya’ in Minna, Niger State and his third single with the latter titled ‘Cash is King’ in Abuja.

Perhaps ‘Suri’ will trend like ‘Dabbing’, which gave Lilin Baba a shot at Kannywood and a collaboration with other musicians such as Ado Gwanja, Umar M. Shareef, Talber, Abdul Thinking and Adam A. Zango.
