The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), learnt on Friday that the property included 17 television sets, eight tape recorders, 16 DVD and CD players, two satellite receivers and a television antenna.

A resident of the village, Malam Ndana Usman, told NAN that the lightening struck the area during a downpour on Wednesday night.

According to him, no life was lost as a result of the incident, but it also wreaked havoc on a farmland belonging to one Bala Idris at a distance of about half a kilometre from the village.

He said that there was, however, no power supply in the area at the time of the incident. Radio technicians in the area are now having a field day as a result of the incident.
