The chairman who disclosed this while donating wheel chairs to five crippled persons said the move become imperative in order to make more useful to people with various disabilities and control growing spate of begging they indulged.
Aisami explained that it was unfortunate that disabled persons were considered as liabilities and second class citizens due to lack of concrete source of livelihood.
Considering this ugly trend, the chairman noted, there was need for the council to come to the rescue of such group of people and train them on various trades to earn a legitimate living.
He described the program as a collective responsibility and called on the general public to join hands with the local government to see to the realization of the program.
