LG Electronics, a consumer electronics firm has donated its new Artcool inverter air conditioners to the Wuse District Hospital in Abuja.
Delivering the donations at the hospital on Friday, the Head of Corporate Marketing, LG Electronics West Africa Operations, Mr Hari Elluru, said the items are expected to meet the needs of the health centre in their mission to provide better healthcare services.

“This is a drive to extend our support to the people of this community and beyond and to the management of Wuse District Hospital.”
He also explained that the LG Artcool Ionizer feature can sterilize over 99 per cent of bacteria within 60 minutes which the hospital would find useful.
Elluru also said the auto cleaning function prevents the formation of bacteria and mold on the heat exchanger.
The Medical Director, Wuse District Hospital, Dr Sa’ad Idris who received the items, said: “We are proud to be the recipients of these distinctively designed air conditioners. We appreciate LG Electronics’ generosity and goodwill to our community which is clearly demonstrated by this donation.”
Dr Idris also said the devices will be installed in the hospital’s wards and offices which did not have cooling units earlier.
