Despite significant potential advantages, challenges that hinder effective service delivery must be passionately addressed. Key challenges include:

Ensuring that citizens have the necessary skills and awareness to access and utilize digital services is vital for widespread adoption and benefits realization.

- Improved & Smart Public Service through the integration of existing digital systems to improve public sector performance.
- Investment in Abuja Technology Village (ATV), a Technology & Innovation Park, to create a significant number of jobs in the technology sector which can help to reduce unemployment, boost economic growth and attract foreign investment and partnerships that can bring in new capital and expertise to the Nigerian economy.
It is important to note that the effectiveness of digital government in Nigeria requires dynamic and collaborative efforts, policy reforms, and investments. Additionally, it is crucial to regularly assess and monitor digital government initiatives to identify areas of improvement and ensure that the desired benefits are being realised.
