Leicester lose to West Ham despite Iheanacho’s brace

Two goals scored by Super Eagles striker, Kelechi Iheanacho were not enough to rescue Leicester City in their 3-2 loss against West Ham.

Iheanacho, who won the Premier League Player of the Month award in March,  first time in his career set up a tense finale with two goals in the final 20 minutes against the hammers.

He scored his first in the 70th minutes after being set up by Richardo Pereira and fired in from close range in stoppage time to grab his 8th premier league goal of the season.

Former Manchester United winger, Jesse Lingard, was the hero of the day as he continued his fine form with two goals to return West Ham United to the top four.

West Ham went ahead on 29 minutes with a fantastic first-time finish from Lingard, who swept in Vladimir Coufal’s cross on the half-volley from the edge of the penalty area.

Lingard scored again on 44 minutes, tapping into an empty net after Jarrod Bowen beat Kasper Schmeichel to the ball.

Bowen added the Hammers’ third when he turned in Tomas Soucek’s pass three minutes into the second half.
