A legal practitioner, Chuwang Gyang, has faulted the ongoing trial of the Senate President, Bukola Saraki and his deputy, Ike Ekweremadu, for alleged forgery.
A Federal High Court sitting in Abuja on Monday June 27, arraigned Saraki, Ekweremadu, a former Clerk of the National Assembly, Alhaji Salisu Maikasuwa and his deputy, Benedict Efeturi over their alleged complicity in forgery of the Senate Standing Rules, 2015.
The two count charge of forgery against Saraki and Ekweremadu was instituted by the office of the Attorney-General of the Federation (AGF).
Speaking in a radio programme, Gyang faulted the trial, saying what was unfolding is power tussle between the executive and legislative arms of government, which according to him is negatively affecting governance.
