A 60-year-old Abeokuta based legal practitioner, Ogundeyi Adebiyi, was yesterday arraigned before Abeokuta Magistrate’s Court 1, for impersonation and forgery of bail bond in a rape case.
Adebiyi was arraigned alongside 40-year-old Emmanuel Oluwumi, on four count charge before Chief Magistrate Anthony Araba.
The lawyer, according to the charge sheet allegedly forged a bond to secure the bail of an accused rapist, Nurudeen Olonade.
Olonade was standing trial before an Abeokuta High Court sitting in Isabo, and presided over by the Chief Justice of the State, Olatokunbo Olopade.
The case was adjourned till October 12, for mention.
