Abaribe who said the move had the potential to solve the perennial unemployment problems bedevilling the country, also stressed that it had the potential to generate employment opportunities, especially for the youth populace.

The Director-General, SMEDAN, Dikko Umaru Radda, called on Abia State indigenes to leverage government intervention programmes and enhance their products and services, especially in the areas where they have comparative and competitive advantages.

He said a fair is a major tool for promotion, communication, marketing, networking and a strong platform for cross-fertilisation of ideas.

Radda also called on the National Assembly members to emulate the fair project “by partnering with SMEDAN in adopting similar programmes at various levels for their constituents.”
