Lawmaker builds hospital, distributes drugs

The deputy speaker of the Bauchi State House of Assembly, Danlami Ahmed Kawule, has commissioned a dispensary he built in Basi of Yamrat ward and launched the disbursement of free drugs to hospitals in his Zungur/Galambi constituency.

Speaking during the commissioning, the deputy speaker said he built the hospital to ease the hardship communities in the area faced in accessing health care facilities.

He noted that he sited the hospital in Basi village, being a centre to many villages in the area.

The lawmaker urged the benefiting communities to make good use of the hospital and look after it against vandalism and misuse.

In his remarks, the commissioner for  natural resources in the state,  Nuruddeen Abdulhamid, commended the deputy speaker for constructing the hospital in Bashi, which he said would ameliorate the hardship of communities in the area.

The commissioner donated a generator to the hospital and urged the communities not to allow the facilities to decay.

Responding on behalf of the communities, the village head of Yamrat thanked the lawmaker and the commissioner for their good gestures towards them.
