Lawmaker awards N20m scholarship to 3,500 indigent students in Kano

A member of the House of Representatives, Muhammad Ali-Wudil, has awarded a N20 million scholarship to 3,500 indigent students studying in tertiary institutions, from Wudil and Garko Local Government Areas of Kano State.

Ali-Wudil, representing Wudil/Garko Federal Constituency in the house, said during the disbursement of the funds to the beneficiaries, on Sunday, in Wudil Local Government Area, that the gesture was provided to boost education in the area.

“Apart from the education sector, we have plans to empower over 10,000 youths and women to establish their businesses so that they can support their families,” he said.
