LASIEC Commissioner dies

A Commissioner with the Lagos State Independent Electoral Commission (LASIEC), Alhaji Lateef Raji has died. 

Raji, who was also a former Special Adviser on Information and Strategy to former Governor of Lagos State, Mr Babatunde Raji Fashola, SAN was reported to have died at the early hours of Monday at his resident in Magodo area of Lagos state.

Close family sources confided in Daily Trust that the late LASIEC Commissioner had been going in and out of hospital in recent months while nursing undisclosed ailment.

Before he served as Special Adviser to Fashola, Raji had also served as Secretary and Chairman of Alliance for Democracy (AD) in Lagos state at different times.

Aged 54, he will be buried today at his hometown in Ido-Ani, Ondo State according to Islamic rites.
