The Lagos Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) said it recovered three bodies from Berger Bridge at Epe where a truck fell off on Friday night and plunged into the river.
LASEMA Head of Public Affairs, Nosa Okunbor, in a statement said the recovery followed a search operation conducted by its agency in collaboration with officials of the FRSC, marine police, and local divers.
He said a Volvo truck was also recovered from the river by the search party.
He explained that further search by the combined team of agency responders, collaborators of primary responders will carry out further search to determine if there are more bodies.
Daily Trust on Sunday reports that a truck fully loaded with sand fell off the Berger Bridge and plunged into Epe River on Friday after a collision with another truck.
