The Lift Above Poverty Organisation (LAPO) has disbursed N19.9 billion to its customers through the LAPO Rural Development Initiative (LARDI) for the 2021 financial year.
The Executive Director LAPO, Dr Honestus Obadiora, disclosed this over the weekend during the LAPO annual media forum.

He explained that the figure represented 64 per cent growth as against the N12.2bn disbursed in 2020.
Obadiora said, “LARDI empowers economically active clients in 283 branches in 21 states. We have outstanding performance, and we are ready to maintain our superior performance trajectory.
He further disclosed that LARDI’s loan portfolio increased to N9,6bn in 2021; representing 35 per cent as against N7.1b in 2020.
He called on low-income farmers and business owners to take advantage of its affordable loan opportunity to enhance the growth and development of their farm and business enterprises.
