Vice President Osinbajo’s unwavering dedication to public service and his profound vision for governance were highlighted by Laolu Akande, his spokesperson.
In an exclusive interview with Daily Trust, Akande shed light on Osinbajo’s perspective and deep-rooted passion for serving the Nigerian people.
“He [Vice President Osinbajo] has passion for the people,” Akande said.
Narrating his experience working with Osinbajo for the last eight years, Akande quoted the Vice President as once saying on the need to be on the side of the people, “We’re not a monarchy. We wouldn’t be here forever. So, we have to do what we need to do and do it well.”
He went further to note that he and Osinbajo share a lot of values together. According to Akande, “Osinbajo shared the belief that governance is about service to the people. For him, at the heart of governance is the sense of social justice.”
On why he will always love to work with Osinbajo, Akande said “In very tensed situations, he always exercises restraints. He can win even his worst enemies over to his side.”
