Landlord killed as 2-storey building collapses in Lagos

One person was killed yesterday when a two-storey building under construction collapsed at Tapa Road, Oke-Ojo Isawo in the Ikorodu area of Lagos.

It was learnt that the incident, happened at about 2:30 pm.

The remains of Daniel Obasi, who was the landlord of the collapsed building, have been recovered and evacuated to the morgue, according to the coordinator of the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) in the state, Mr. Ibrahim Farinloye.

According to a neighbour, Construction works were suspended on Tuesday due to the Eid-El Kabir celebration.
