Lamido of Adamawa admonishes Muslims to fear Allah

The Lamido of Adamawa, Muhammadu Barkindo Aliyu Musdafa, yesterday admonished Muslim faithful to fear Allah and be conscious of death.

He spoke during the 11th edition of the Qur’anic Recitation Schools Recitation Competition of Nigeria (RIBADA) held at the Federal College of Education, Yola.

He was represented by District Head and Cika Soro Adamawa, Alhaji Muhammad Ahmad Mustapha.

He asked Muslim parents to educate their children, especially the girl-child.

Chairman, Muslim Council of Nigeria, Alhaji Gambo Jika, said the competition was to instill the habit of memorizing Qur’an in female students from non-Arabic secondary schools in Nigeria.

He said over 20 states with 75 persons were participating in this year’s Qur’anic recitation competition which would be rounded off on Saturday.
