Lalong, Useni, 19 others jostle for Plateau gov’ship seat

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has confirmed Governor Simon Lalong and 20 others as the Plateau state governorship candidates under different political parties.

Former Minister, Federal Capital Territory, Abuja during Sani Abatcha’s regime, Jeremiah T. Useni was also confirmed by the commission as the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party PDP.

Daily Trust learnt that former INEC Resident Electoral Commissioner of Gombe State, Godfrey Miri and a renowned politician, Alhaji Isah Jega are the governorship candidates of Social Democratic Party (SDP) and United Progressive Party (UPP) respectively.
