Plateau State Governor, Simon Bako Lalong has condoled with the government and people of Nasawara State over the demise of Alhaji Hassan Ahmed Abubakar II, the Emir of Nasarawa, who died on Thursday.

The Governor, in a statement by his Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Mark Longyen on Friday described the late First Class traditional ruler of Nasarawa State as an epitome of humility, exemplary leader, advocate for peaceful coexistence and religious tolerance.
Similarly, the Governor in a condolence letter sent to Senator Osita Izunaso described the loss of the family matriarch as painful saying the deceased was a mentor, heroine and family pillar on whom the family leaned on especially at this time when her motherly counselling was needed the most.
“My sympathy, thoughts and fervent prayers are with you, your siblings and, indeed, the entire Izunaso immediate and extended families in this moment of great grief,” the letter read.
