The Lagos State Task Force on Environmental Sanitation has arrested 12,429 miscreants for various crimes committed within the Lagos metropolis in 2021.
The Chairman of the task force, Shola Jejeloye, said the raids during which the miscreants were arrested were meant to stop incidents of robbery, arson and other illegal activities in the state.

Giving an account of the task force’ activities for the year 2021, Jejeloye said the agency nabbed over 12,429 suspects out of which 11,412 were charged to court and 10,959 convicted, adding that 166 others were fined and cautioned.

He further said 84 commercial motorcycle operators were arrested yesterday at Costain/Iponrin for violating traffic laws.
