Lagos shuts down schools as 25,000 workers denied access to state secretariat

Following the blockage of major roads and the Lagos State Secretariat, the Commissioner for Education in Lagos state, Mrs. Folasade Adefisayo has directed all pupils/students in public and private schools to stay at home following the tension generated by the anti- SARS protests.

This is also as the state governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu disclosed that over 25,000 public officers have been denied access to their offices at Alausa.

Sanwo-Olu, who spoke during the inauguration of the panel of inquiry and restitution set up to investigate cases of brutality and human rights violations committed by operatives of the dissolved Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) in Lagos, expressed worry over the blockage of roads and offices.
