Lagos sets up c’ttee to clear vehicles from roads, parks

The Lagos State Government has reconstituted and inaugurated its Removal of Abandoned Vehicles and Park Monitoring Committee.

Speaking during the inauguration, the Special Adviser (SA) to the Governor on Transportation, Hon Sola Giwa, stated that the committee’s primary responsibility was the prompt removal of all abandoned and disused vehicles obstructing traffic and posing security threats to the metropolis.

The SA added that the committee was also to ensure orderliness in motor parks, prevent use and sale of alcohol and other related substances in the parks, clamp down on illegal parks and commuter operations, among others.
