Following the successful completion of the 2015/2016 Nigeria Premier League (NPL), the lawmaker representing Ojo Federal Constituency, Hon. Tajudeen Obasa has joined the government and good people of Enugu State in celebrating the historical feat being achieved by the Rangers Football Club in clinching the league title after 32years wait.

In a statement made available to journalists by his media aide, Mr Opeyemi Ahmed on Monday in Lagos, the lawmaker eulogized Nigerians for showing more commitment and enthusiasm towards the Nigeria League. 

"Few years ago, a new dimension was introduced into the Nigeria League before then foreign leagues are more celebrated to watch and follow than the Nigeria league, but with the mammoth crowd seen at the stadium during the just concluded 2015/2016 season shows that a new era has begun in the footballing world"

The lawmaker appreciated the Shehu Dikko led League Management Company for repositioning the league to meet the taste of Nigerians in line with the standard practices of foreign leagues.

More also, he appealed to the body to partner with the entertainment sector in order to bring more social activities to the stadium during football games.

"In building a formidable economy, all sectors in country must be working in tandem with one another. Interestingly, both the football and entertainment sectors are dominated by the youths."

" With such partnership , the performance of the entertainers before the commencement of the match and the break will surely bring more enthusiasm and population to the stadium,as such the management of the club will be able to generate more income for day to day running of its administration."

Consequently, Obasa saluted the doggedness of the MFM Football Club of Lagos in surviving the relegation battle, attributing such escape to a blessed joy for the good people of Lagos to witness more game with top grade teams across the country.‎
