Lagos: Police get 50 booths to boost traffic mgt, security

To address traffic congestion in Lagos metropolis and enhance the safety and working conditions of men and officers of the Nigeria Police Force (NPF), the CWAY Group has donated 50 traffic booths to the Lagos State Police Command.

During the donation ceremony held at the command’s headquarters in Ikeja, the

Deputy Marketing Director of CWAY Food and Beverages Nigeria Company Limited, Mr Samuel O. Akinrimisi, explained that the gesture was aimed to support the efforts of traffic wardens facing challenging conditions amid the bustling traffic in Lagos.

He said the booths would serve a triple purpose: provide shelter during adverse weather conditions, ensure safety amid reckless driving and promote a sense of appreciation through the distribution of CWAY Group’s products.

He further said, “As a responsible corporate entity with over two decades of business in Nigeria, we believe in meaningful Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives. The police deserve this extension of love, and we are proud to contribute to their wellbeing.”
