The much-anticipated 2024 Ibadan International Polo Tournament has been confirmed to gallop off in grand style from Monday, May 20, 2024 at the legendary Eleyele Polo Ground with teams from Port Harcourt, Lagos and host Ibadan on the ground to rekindle their polo rivalry that celebrates the rich history and tradition of the noble sport.
President of Ibadan Polo Club, Koyinsola Owoeye confirmed from his Ibadan base that for all is now set the glamorous fiesta revered as the biggest sporting and tourism attraction to the old Oyo Empire to gallop-off with fanfare from Monday, May 20 and thrill till the weekend.
“Ibadan is set is set to host our glamorous polo fiesta which remains one of the biggest sporting events every year and one of the most attended polo tournaments in the country,” he pointed out.
“We are good to go. Our playing pitch is in top shape, just as well as the stabling facilities are all up to standard as required by the ruling of the game,” he added.
Owoeye also disclosed that arrangements have been perfected to ensure that the grand event remains an epoch that will linger for long in the memories of all participants, invited guests and enthusiasts of the king of games.

“All the tournament sub committees are on ground and have put together a special package to deliver on all fronts foe that required values to our esteemed traditional sponsors, partners, patrons, participating teams and thousands of enthusiasts who have over the decades made the Ibadan tournament a festival of choice,” Owoeye assured.
