The Lawmaker representing Kosofe Constituency 2 at the Lagos State House of Assembly Hon. Tunde Braimoh is dead.
He died at the early hours of Friday, barely one month after the death of another lawmaker from Kosofe, late Senator Bayo Osinowo.
The cause of Braimoh’s death is yet to be unravelled but some of his colleagues insinuated he might have died of COVID-19.
It would be recalled that his close friend, the late Osinowo died of complications from COVID-19.
The late Braimoh until his demise was the House Committee Chairman on Information and Strategy. He was also the chairman of Kosofe Local Government before he was elected to the State Assembly.
His death has remained a shock to many including his colleagues at the Assembly who described him as a dedicated, competent politician and a well-rounded personality who made copious contributions to state developmental policy debate on the floor of the house.
One of his colleagues, the Chairman, House Committee on Health, Hon. Hakeem Sokunle hinted that the late Braimoh died of COVID-19 and that he might have contracted it from late Senator Osinowo, his close confidant.
Also, member representing Ojo constituency1 at the Assembly, Hon. Victor Akande described the late Braimoh as a very cautious individual who never toyed with his health.
“He was highly cautious and will always maintain strict adherence to all medical counsels from the appropriate quarters as it concerns the prevention of the spread of COVID-19. He was such a fine breed whose impact will ever remain a point of reference,” he said.
He is survived by his wife and children.
