Director of the board, Mr Supo Gbadegesin, explained that the examination commencement date was postponed because some schools were yet to upload the bio-data of their candidates, which caused the delay in the printing of their Optical Mark Readers (OMR) sheets.
He stated that it was pertinent to shift the dates of the examinations to accommodate other schools that were unable to upload the data of their candidates into the board’s database, so as not to deny the students the opportunity to write the examinations.
The postponement, he said, would further enable the board to address some unforeseen logistical problems that arose towards the commencement of the examination.
He solicited the understanding of all stakeholders; assuring all concerned schools that the new dates remained sacrosanct.
