The Lagos State Commissioner of Police, CP Hakeem Odumosu, has assured the family of late Favour Okechukwu who was gang-raped to death that the police will make every effort to apprehend the culprits and get justice for the late 13-year-old girl.
He said this on Tuesday during a visit to Favour’s family at Olanrewaju Street, Ejigbo area of the state.
He directed the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Criminal Investigation Department, DCP Yetunde Longe, who accompanied him, to deploy additional detectives from her office to go after the fleeing culprits and bring them to justice as soon as possible.
The CP, who delivered the condolence message to the parents of the deceased on behalf of the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Muhammed Abubakar Adamu, assured of police’s preparedness in combating crime in the state.
