Lagos Council boss dies of COVID-19

The Chairman of the Onigbongbo Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Lagos, Babatunde Oke, died in the early hours of yesterday from complications arising from the COVID-19 infection.

The Lagos State governor, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu, expressing sadness on Oke’s death in a condolence message issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr Gboyega Akosile, described it as a big loss to the Onigbongbo LCDA and Lagos State generally.

Sanwo-Olu implored Lagos residents to use the death of the Council chairman as a reminder that all hands must be on deck in reducing the spread of the ravaging coronavirus pandemic, as well as obeying the basic rules and regulations regarding it.
